Many questions

Informal fallacies → Question-begging / premise

Many questions is when several questions are squashed into one, so one answer can't fairly cover everything. You're forced to say yes or no to a bundle of different issues as if they were one. That's unfair because you might agree with some parts and disagree with others. The proper response is to separate the questions and answer each on its own.

Examples

  • Do you support the new rule and the principal's budget?

  • Do you love your job and want to stay with the company long term?

  • Should we raise taxes and cut spending?
